This Moment

A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. Inspired by SouleMama.

If you are inspired to do the same, leave a link to your moment at SouleMama for all to find and see.

By the way, I am starting a series of posts on my other site, Sew Oblivious, about teaching children to sew. It is small right now, but many more posts are just waiting to be written. Come on by if you are interested! Just click the "Sewing with Children" tab on the Sew Oblivious homepage.

  1. I love sewing children. Both of mine know how to sew, it is such an important skill for so many reasons.
    Great moment!

Here is mine to share this week, my oldest with his new morning ritual...

  2. Thanks for the visit! I am "Sew" going to check out your sewing site for children. THat is wonderful! My son has been doing a little crocheting lately, but he would probably be delighted to start some sewing projects!

  3. If I am interested? Sounds great! And your boy looks so occupied with it, I wonder what he was sewing though... maybe we find out?

    1. He was actually working on a beaded necklace this week. We cut the beads from a branch we found on a walk a few weeks ago. It was a wonderful project for Evan - he was involved in almost every aspect (except for the sawing).

  4. So sweet - you can tell he's really concentrating. I love the napping dog in the background, too. :) Thanks for stopping by my blog! Yours is delightful. I'll definitely be checking out your 'sewing with children' posts!

  5. I'm curious about what he's sewing too! My kids love doing sewing projects! I start them out with yarn and plastic canvas. My daughter (8) did her first embroidery project last month and I was so excited!
Thanks for stopping by the little things today :)
    Here's our moment:

  6. doh! I left a link to YOUR moment in my comment above. heehee. Here's our moment:

  7. Learning to sew! That is excellent. His future wife will thank you, hehe. The other day I was sewing something at my mother's house, and came across a little wooden doll she had given me to learn to sew clothes for. She still keeps it in her sewing drawer. I know your son will keep and treasure the memories of learning to sew from his mother too.

Thanks for visiting my blog today, I'm going to keep reading yours.

    Our moment...

  8. Such a great moment, he is very focused on it.

    Have a great weekend.

  9. Great moment for sharing! He is very attentive in his activity :)

  10. I love the focused attention. The sleepy puppy is pretty precious too. ;)
